Puna, Hawaii

Tropical Food Forest

A collaboration with Cocoon's Magik, this 3 acre food forest retreat in the Puna district on the Big Island of Hawaii is a true sanctuary. Mixed in between the open-air cabins are cacao, citrus, coffee, guava, papaya, noni, coconut, passionfruit, aloe, and much more. The entire property is off-grid, equipped with solar and water catchment, and features many ponds with fish and other wildlife.

2 top-bar beehives were added to the garden for pollination and honey. This property is a perfect example of tropical permaculture and off-grid living.
